Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a market leader in Birmingham. The role entails performing maintenance on critical electrical systems, conducting HV and LV operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will have qualifications in electrical engineering and at least three years of experience in commercial property maintenance. The role offers a salary of £45,000 annually, ongoing training, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial property maintenance.
  • Live within commutable distance to the site.
  • Critical experience (Banking or Data Centre) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems.
  • Conduct High Voltage (HV) isolation operations safely.
  • Operate and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for efficiency.
  • Support switching schedules and respond to alarms.

Education

City and guilds / NVQ / EAL or equivalent
