Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing technical team in Ayr. This is an exciting opportunity to work with market-leading equipment both on-site and in a dedicated workshop environment. The role involves a variety of tasks, from installing and servicing brine saturator plants to maintaining salt spreaders and snow ploughs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Log all activities and maintain accurate records
  • Manage stock levels of parts and supplies
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals
  • Complete work orders and document materials used
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong practical and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Willingness to travel at short notice across the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
  • IPAF certification (desirable but not essential)
  • Automotive experience (beneficial but not essential)
