Senior Electrical Engineer

Malton, North Yorkshire
Up to 60K plus 7% matched pension, private medical, hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus BH

We are recruiting exclusively on behalf of Severfield Modular Solutions, who are continuing to grow and are looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to their team in Malton. This is a key role in a specialist division of one of the UK's leading engineering groups, offering autonomy, variety, and involvement across the full design lifecycle. You will join a small, tight knit electrical team designing modular substations, LV distribution systems, and equipment housings used by major clients across energy, utilities, industrial and infrastructure sectors. The work is technical, interesting, and offers genuine ownership of projects from concept through to completion.

Role

• Producing SLDs and electrical schematics using AutoCAD
• LV system design for AC and DC applications
• Cable sizing and system calculations using Trimble or Amtech
• Lighting designs and Dialux calculations
• Surge protection and power distribution design
• Working with heating, ventilation, control panel, SCADA and BMS requirements
• Supporting installation and commissioning activities including testing, inspections, FATs and client witnessing
• Carrying out site surveys where required
• Preparing specifications, technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with BS7671 and relevant standards

What you will bring

• Strong background in electrical design within modular, building services, LV distribution or similar environments
• Confident producing SLDs, layouts, cable calcs, and lighting calcs
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Trimble/Amtech, and Dialux
• Good knowledge of BS7671 and general electrical safety and compliance requirements
• Comfortable taking ownership of work and supporting colleagues in a small, collaborative engineering team
• Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
