Job summary

A reputable engineering company in Shrewsbury is looking for a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will carry out electrical design work, produce detailed concept designs, and work on PLC wiring diagrams. A qualification in Electrical Engineering and experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD is essential. The company offers a salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Should have a basic understanding of PLC and SCADA software.
  • Full Driving Licence is necessary.

Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Type: Permanent

Location: Shrewsbury

My client work within engineering and they are looking to take on a hands on Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.

Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
  • Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
  • Have experience working with control panels
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Have a basic understanding of PLC and SCADA software ideally
  • Any network knowledge would also be ideal - Profinet, Profibus etc.
  • Excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Full Driving Licence
