Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is a well-established engineering company with decades of experience delivering specialist control system design, software development, and manufacturing solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth, they now require an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in the Nuneaton area. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, working within a collaborative environment that values technical expertise and creativity. Some travel to customer sites will be required during project phases.

What's involved for the Electrical Design Engineer
  • Design electrical and control systems using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel.
  • Produce technical documentation including diagrams, layouts, thermal calculations, parts lists, and safety evaluation reports.
  • Generate bills of materials, labels, and reports using Excel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards (HSE/ISO).
  • Work closely with project teams to deliver designs on time and to budget.
  • Support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams both in the office and on-site.
  • Conduct safety hardware validation.
  • Travel to customer sites as required.
What you'll need
  • Experience as an electrical designer.
  • Proficiency with EPlan Electric, EPlan Pro Panel, CAD or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and control system components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
