Overview

Electrical Building Services Design Engineer required for our client, a Croydon-based consultancy with over 25 years' experience delivering sustainable mechanical and electrical projects across the UK, specifically in the commercial sector, with previous projects including The British Library, The Shard, and Westminster Abbey.

They are expanding and looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team to take ownership of projects from the initial design, revisions, calculations, specifications, work schedules and estimates. Our client will consider Intermediate to Senior Level experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design on multi-disciplinary projects within a consultancy or large contractor environment.
• Complete detailed designs, drawings, specifications and calculations for electrical systems.
• Conduct site surveys and provide on-site management as required.
• Apply knowledge of CIBSE Guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, Building Regulations and UK BIM standards.
• Utilise software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Project, Hevacomp, Amtech and Dialux.
• Work from a commutable distance of Croydon.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of Electrical Building Services Design on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience in a design role within a consultancy or large contractor.
• Ability to complete detailed designs, drawings, specifications and calculations for electrical systems.
• Confident with site surveys and on-site management.
• Knowledge of CIBSE Guides, IEE Regulations, CDM Regulations, Revit / BIM Standards (UK) and Building Regulations.
• Software experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Project, Heavacomp, Amtech and Dialux.
• Based within a commutable distance of Croydon.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary of 40,000 - 60,000.
