Job description

Our skilled team of industrial electricians are a vital part of the Water Supply family; keeping our treatment works running smoothly to ensure the supply of 1.3bn litres of clean, safe drinking water to 5 million customers, every single day. Responsibilities
  • Wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.
  • Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment.
  • Investigating asset trends and carrying out electrical interventions.
  • Assisting electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams.
  • Utilising electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Reacting to technical issues to maintain water supply.

As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.

Qualifications
  • An NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition electrical City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Completed a relevant apprenticeship.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Ability to work standby‑by and overtime as necessary.
