EHO (Food) Or Food Safety Officer needed in Hull

The rate is £43.39ph PAYE

This is a temporary role

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as part of a professional environmental health team, providing a highly customer‑focused response to requests and concerns relating to food safety and health.

They will engage in the inspection and regulation of food businesses, with responsibilities increasing from lower‑risk premises through to medium and higher‑risk operations depending on grade.

They will deliver clear advice, coaching and guidance to businesses, using effective communication, active listening and questioning techniques to secure compliance. At higher levels, they will take a lead role in detailed inspections, manage infectious disease cases, address serious food safety concerns, and make sound decisions to safeguard public health, safety and welfare while supporting a safe and fair trading environment.
