Overview

Part- Time EHCP Coordinator – Further Educational Establishment
Location: Winchester
Contract Type: Part-time (Mon-Wed) until Christmas
Pay: £82 – £95 per day
Start Date: October 2025 – December 2025 but for the right candidate would continue indefinitely.

Are you passionate about helping young people with additional needs thrive in education? Do you have the skills to tailor and assess EHCPs, and the dedication to support students on their journey to success?

We’re looking for a committed professional to join our outstanding team at a respected further education college near Winchester. This part-time role (Monday to Wednesday) offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a setting known for its excellence and inclusive ethos.

Responsibilities
  • Support a caseload of students with additional learning needs, with or without EHCPs
  • Lead transition planning by liaising with schools, SENCOs, students, and families
  • Coordinate site visits, interviews, and orientation activities
  • Assess and apply for exam access arrangements and risk assessments
  • Develop and review bespoke support plans and crisis management strategies
  • Collaborate with Careers and teaching teams to support work experience and progression
  • Provide in-class support, note-taking, personal care, and mobility assistance when needed
  • Chair EHCP reviews and ensure documentation meets statutory requirements
  • Maintain strong communication with families, staff, and external professionals
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice across the College
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience working with EHCPs and supporting students with additional needs
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to individualised support
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confidence in leading meetings, writing reports, and setting SMART targets
