North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a talented and motivated Educational Psychologist to join its dynamic Children’s Services team in Grimsby. This role offers flexible working options—either face-to-face or remotely—and the opportunity to deliver crucial support to children, families, and schools.
As an Educational Psychologist, you will conduct assessments, deliver interventions, provide guidance, and collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure children with additional needs thrive in educational settings.
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand the needs of children and young people.
Develop and implement tailored evidence-based interventions and provide guidance to children, families, and educational staff.
Support schools in planning and executing strategies for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning challenges.
Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and other professionals to design and refine support plans.
Lead consultations, training sessions, and workshops for school staff on child development, learning processes, and behaviour management.
Prepare detailed reports and contribute to statutory processes, including Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans.
Uphold safeguarding and child protection in all professional activities.
Participate in service development, evaluation, and improvement initiatives within the Educational Psychology Service.
