Qualifications

  • Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner with relevant EMHP Post Graduate Diploma.
  • Experience of working with children and young people in educational and healthcare settings.
  • Skilled in conducting mental health assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
  • Support and collaborate with educators and families on mental health strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage sensitive caseloads.

Skills

Ability to carry out 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to conduct mental health assessments of children and young people
Proven commitment to continuous professional development

Education

Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course
Teaching qualification
Youth Mental Health First Aid trained
