Locum Education Lawyer

London Local Authority

3 month+ locum contract

£45 - £55 per hour (depending on experience)

A well-known London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Education Lawyer to join them on a locum basis.

The Education Lawyer will join the London Council on an initial 3-month locum contract, with the likelihood of being extended long-term on a rolling basis. Office attendance is usually required once per fortnight, however this can be negotiated. Tribunal attendance is however required as and when it comes up.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of SEN cases
  • Advise on education law
  • Work on SEND tribunals
  • Experience in associated guidance is preferable
  • Office attendance once per fortnight (negotiable); tribunal attendance as required
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified and hold a current practising certificate (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx)

This will be a great opportunity for a determined Education Lawyer to capitalise on their expertise, work independently, and take on a varied and interesting caseload.
