Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Caseworker [BTN8491]

Pro rata of £25,582 - £25,683 per annum e.g £11,118.32 - £11,162.22

18.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive EHCP Caseworker to join our team, ensuring that each learner receives the support, advocacy and high‑quality provision they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

As an EHCP Caseworker, you will manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans, working closely with families, schools, external agencies and colleagues across the Group. You will play a crucial role in coordinating assessments, drafting and reviewing plans, monitoring progress and ensuring statutory timescales are met. You will chair the meetings with the families, support and tutors involved to ensure the young person’s targets are being met and make any necessary changes. Your work will have a direct impact on learner outcomes and will help shape the support the young people receive throughout their educational journey.

Qualifications

You will bring strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with a range of stakeholders. An understanding of SEND legislation, particularly the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, is essential. Training and support will be provided if you are working towards a desirable qualification or need to further develop specialist knowledge relevant to the role.

This is a job share with an existing EHCP caseworker who works for 2.5 days per week. The days would be set to a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday am.
