A health services provider in England is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join the Cheshire East Emergency Duty Team. The role requires skills in risk assessment and supportive collaboration with colleagues on complex cases. The Cheshire East Emergency Duty Team aims to provide the best possible service for children, families, and vulnerable adults across the borough. Working closely with partner agencies and our daytime colleagues we aim to provide seamless, holistic support and intervention at evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
As a Social Worker on the team, you will provide a high level of risk assessment in complex cases and carry cases to completion whenever possible.
You need to have the skills to support other staff and professionals to deal with complex issues and offer advice when appropriate. You should be confident, flexible, and able to work on your own initiative. The work is fast paced, and you need to be able to make decisions with confidence.
You will be required to use a variety of IT databases to record your work. Training on relevant systems will be provided.
Please note that in order to apply for these posts you must be registered as a Social Worker with Social work England, be an Approved Mental Health Professional under the Mental Health Act and have significant post qualifying experience in a statutory setting.
