Overview

Economics Teacher — Start date: January 2026 or sooner. Contract: Full-time, Ongoing. School type: Secondary School with Sixth Form. Location: Redbridge.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Deliver A-level (KS5) Economics lessons following the AQA Economics curriculum.
  • You may also be asked to support with Business Studies or related subjects at KS4.
What Students Study
  • Year 12: Core knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics, markets, supply and demand, pricing, market structures, and the causes of market failure.
  • Year 13: Government policies, international trade, and financial markets; study of macroeconomic performance and policy, including questions such as growth, trade factors, and whether interest rates should rise or fall.
Person Specification / Qualifications
  • Experienced teacher/lecturer with proven ability to deliver the AQA A-level Economics curriculum.
  • Strong academic background in Economics or a related discipline.
  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to developing students\' independence, analytical skills, and ability to apply theory in context.
