One position is suited for someone interested in emergency and critical care, while the other is ideal for a general practitioner with a broad range of interests or a focus on small animal medicine.

Our practice comprises six branches across mid Cornwall, with our main hospital located in St Columb Major, near Newquay. We serve a thriving first opinion client base and accept referrals in orthopaedic, spinal, and soft tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, and emergency and critical care. The practice is modern, well-equipped, and forward-thinking. We boast a large team of veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses, many of whom have advanced qualifications or are working towards them. We are committed to high standards of veterinary care and client service, continuously seeking improvements. Our facilities include an on-site CT scanner.

The Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) role is suitable for a veterinary surgeon with at least two years of experience. It offers a hybrid schedule of daytime and night shifts, with flexible balance. You will join our established ECC team, supported by dedicated day and night hospital vets and RVNs. Candidates may have ECC qualifications or be considering certification, and we support and fund further studies. The position can be part-time or full-time, with various rota options.

This role offers the opportunity to develop or expand clinical skills across various areas. A full-time schedule includes a rota of First Opinion and Out of Hours ECC work, with part-time options available. We also support certification studies if desired.
