A leading veterinary referral centre in Newmarket is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their Emergency and Critical Care team. The ideal candidate should have experience in emergency nursing, strong communication skills, and be motivated to develop their expertise in a fast-paced referral setting. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team at Dick White Veterinary Specialists (DWR). This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working in a fast‑paced referral environment and is committed to delivering the highest standards of nursing care to critically ill patients.

Our dedicated teams of vets, nurses, nursing assistants, andails client care professionals work collaboratively to deliver exceptional surgical and medical care. Many of our clinicians are nationally and internationally recognised specialists, offering a broad range of expertise.
We accept referrals across multiple disciplines, including Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, and Soft Tissue Surgery.
The DWR offers comprehensive clinical and non‑clinical training programmes, with strong support forM development and CPD.
As an ECC Focused RVN, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of nursing care to emergency and critically ill patients. You will work within a well‑equipped, purpose‑built ICU and Emergency Room alongside ECC specialists and experienced nursing colleagues.
Your role will include nursing patients hospitalised in ICU, performing urgent triage, and assisting with initial stabilisation in the emergency receiving area. This position offers the opportunity to utilise a wide range of advanced nursing skills, with limited client‑facing responsibilities.
The role bunun a nurse who is motivated to develop their knowledge in a referral setting. Previous referral experience is preferred, and a strong culture of teaching, learning, and professional development is actively encouraged.
