A reputable energy services provider based in North London is seeking an experienced EC&I Technician to lead technical support and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation within the energy or heavy process industries. Overview

EC&I Technician - Energy from Waste (E, C&I Technician) – North London

Salary: around £60,000 + Benefits. This role is on a Day Shift Basis and includes a clear training and progression route within the company.

Role

Join the client’s E, C&I Team for the site and report into the Maintenance Manager. You will take the lead on providing technical support and resolving problems relating to control and instrumentation.

This is an opportunity for an experienced EC&I or Electrical Technician to work within a well-established energy services provider and supportive team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation maintenance across the site.
  • Implement plant safety schemes, including near-miss reporting and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance of C&I assets with HSEQ standards.
  • Implement and test systems; conduct fault finding and investigations.
  • Develop and implement engineering procedures, instructions, and method statements.
  • Maintain SCADA systems and support scheduled and unscheduled outages.
Engineer Profile / Qualifications
  • Experience within EfW or power industry is advantageous.
  • Open to candidates from heavy process or industrial backgrounds (petrochemical, power stations, anaerobic digestion, oil & gas, offshore).
  • Engineers with a Royal Navy background will be considered.
  • Ideally recognised EC&I apprenticeship. ONC/HNC Electrical Engineering and/or Controls or Instrumentation discipline.
