A leading waste management company seeks an experienced EC&I Maintenance Technician based in Middlesbrough. You will provide planned and reactive maintenance for control and instrumentation systems and supervise junior staff. The role offers a competitive salary of £47,114 plus additional benefits, with a total package up to £54,325. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in a heavy engineering environment.

Are you an experienced and qualified EC&I Maintenance Technician / Engineer? Do you have experience of both planned and reactive maintenance within process plant / engineering facilities? Then we want to talk to you! We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all control and instrumentation areas of our plant. You’ll be the on-site expert for specialist equipment such as Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEMs) and DCS. You’ll supervise junior staff, provide direct supervision and help them develop their skills. You’ll supervise contract personnel, advise the rest of the team and form part of a 24-hour call-out rota, covering plant breakdowns outside normal hours. This role is based at our Energy Recovery Facility at Wilton.
Specialist training covering process control and measurement; DCS, CEM hardware, regulatory monitoring requirements (MCERTS) and PLC. You’ll have a degree/HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, an Engineering Apprenticeship and experience in a process, steam-raising or heavy engineering environment. You’ll combine this with a Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) and the ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Familiar with 18th edition wiring regulations and C&G 2377 PAT testing. You’ll be a critical source of knowledge for our wider team.
