Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all EC&I maintenance routines are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Support 24/7 operations in line with legislative requirements.
  • Conduct defect repairs and manage project tasks as needed.

Skills

Knowledge of instrument and control theory
Basic knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations
Good understanding of EC&I problem solving techniques

Education

Position: EC&I Technician

Purpose of Role

Recruiting for an EC&I Technician reporting directly to the Site Maintenance Engineer. The EC&I Technician ensures that all Electrical, Control and Instrumentation maintenance routines, defect repairs and projects at the plant are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to support the 24/7 operation of the plant in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Although this role is for an EC&I Technician, we will consider applications from candidates who specialise in either Electrical or C&I and will provide training to fill any gaps.

You'll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

What a great candidate looks like
  • Time served apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in Electrical, Instrument or Control, discipline.
  • Knowledge of instrument and control theory.
  • Basic knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Understanding of Permit to work systems, risk assessment and method statement documentation.
  • Good understanding of EC&I problem solving techniques and ability to read single line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
Working Hours

8.30am - 5pm Mon-Thu, 8.30am - 1.30pm on Fridays
