Job description

We are looking for a diligent, analytically minded Operations Support Specialist to join the eBay Live team in the UK. This is a highly visible and impactful role that sits at the heart of the eBay Live operation and is central to ensuring operational excellence across our payments, insights, and business performance processes. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of financial operations for sellers while also providing data‑driven insights that help leadership understand performance trends, identify challenges, and improve how we operate. Working closely with cross‑functional partners in Finance, Product, Analytics, Legal, Account Management and Operations, you'll play a key role in maintaining a robust operational foundation for eBay Live as we continue to grow and scale.

Business Performance & Analytics
  • Play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the eBay Live team.
  • Own and prepare content for Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and senior leadership reports, working with stakeholders to track key operational and performance metrics.
  • Use data and analysis to identify performance drivers, uncover root causes of issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Partner with Analytics teams to design dashboards and reporting that provide insights into seller engagement, transaction quality, and platform performance.
  • Conduct deep dives into specific business challenges (e.g. seller retention, root causes of growth, operational throughput) and present findings to inform decision‑making.
  • Monitor key benchmarks and surface trends that support long‑term decision making and prioritisation.
Payments & Invoicing Management
  • Manage the end‑to‑end seller payments and invoicing processes for eBay Live, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Track, verify, and reconcile seller payouts, resolving discrepancies promptly and transparently.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal teams to ensure documentation and tax compliance are maintained across all seller transactions.
Operational Process Support
  • Support day‑to‑day operational activities across the eBay Live program, ensuring workflows run efficiently and consistently.
  • Assist in the coordination of live team events, program logistics, and cross‑team communications.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, SOPs, and internal tools to improve clarity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics to identify bottlenecks or improvement opportunities.
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure all payment and operational processes align with eBay's trust, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Support incident resolution and risk mitigation through data validation and documentation.
  • Maintain a high standard of data integrity and confidentiality across all seller transactions and records.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, finance operations, or payments/invoicing roles – ideally within e‑commerce, fintech, or marketplace environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and documentation.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Experience preparing business performance reviews or management reporting.
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude when working with cross‑functional teams.
  • High level of integrity and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
