The role is for an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join a supportive and experienced team providing Tier 4 inpatient services to young people with eating disorders at the Brighton and Hove Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, assessing and managing young people referred to the service, and providing leadership and supervision to the multidisciplinary team.
The Eating Disorder Psychiatrist will be responsible for managing a caseload as the Responsible Clinician, participating in the assessment and management of children and young people referred to the service, assessing physical health, completing professional reports, acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act, attending CETRs, providing leadership and supervision to the team, and participating in the CAMHS Consultant on-call rota. The successful candidate will also be required to uphold the principles of Clinical Governance, adhere to the organisation’s policies and procedures, and participate in Continuing Professional Development and an Annual Appraisal Programme.

Join Brighton and Hove Clinic, which is aa specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 up to 18 years, and you will be providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.
You will be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice with experience of CAMHS Eating Disorders and leading multidisciplinary teams.
