Job description

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner or a Level 3 qualified TA in Early Years to work in one of our primary schools based in North Leeds. This is a long term post to start as soon as possible until the end of the school year and possibly an additional term from September to December.

Summary of the job role:

As as Early Years Practitioner you will be enthusiastic and committed assisting in the provision of high quality education within the early years foundation stage. This is a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Duties:

As an Early Years Practitioner you will work as part of the EYFS team providing a safe, fun learning environment that provides learning through play.

To liaise with colleagues in the EYFS team to plan and lead activities to support all areas of the curriculum.

To ensure a safe environment for the children, that the equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high and safety procedures are implemented at all times

To be aware of all legal and statutory requirements relating to EYFS

As an Early Years Practitioner you will have responsibility for a group of children as a Key Person, monitoring progress, identifying needs, highlighting concerns and liaising with parents

To attend training or regular CPD

To write formal reports to parents of key children once a year

To understand the importance of safeguarding in education

Education and Qualifications:

Minimum Level 3 in Early Years

First Aid (Preferred)
