A local government council in Scotland is seeking a dedicated early years educator to deliver high-quality education and care for young children. Responsibilities include planning curriculum and working effectively with families. Must commit to joining the SSSC and complete PVG membership. This position offers a guaranteed job interview for candidates with disabilities or relevant caring responsibilities.
Based in the ELC setting at Grange Primary School, Monifieth (ELC model 1).
This job is workstyle - 1 Fixed.
In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.

You will also have weekly planning and preparation time, and agreed collegiate time, in addition to the child contact hours outlined above.
ELC settings in models 1 and 2 are open over term-time. ELC Model 3 has extended hours throughout the year and is open for 46.6 weeks of the year, with variations in holidays and in-service days. Staff in Model 3 may take annual leave and other non-working time in a different pattern to term-time staff.
Working 21.75 hours per week, you will work up to 195 days per year Monday to Wednesday, term-time working.
Responsibilities include working as an effective member of an early level team, delivering a flexible, high quality, stimulating education and care-centred service which meets the needs of young children and their families. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of the curricular programme, in line with national and local policies, guidelines and quality assurance procedures.
Membership of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or commitment to gain registration with the SSSC in accordance with their requirements is essential.
