Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team at our Outstanding Nursery in Audlem. This role can be 2 days with an option for overtime when required and available.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and has the drive to make a positive impact on young lives.

Duties
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
  • Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities and lessons
  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Observe and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities and progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development
  • Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and meets health and safety standards
Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is essential
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare)
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written)
