We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team at Woodford Primary School on a Fixed-Term basis. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower pupils to reach their full potential.

Here at the Laurus Trust, we provide a cutting-edge SEND provision that makes a real difference to the lives of our young people. We are now looking for caring, dedicated individuals to join our SEND team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils’ progress while promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

We offer a comprehensive programme of professional learning, and all our schools provide designated workspaces for staff. Our Trust-wide training covers both whole-school SEND priorities and specialist development for SEND teams, ensuring you are fully supported in your practice.

This position is contracted on a 12 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.

  • To provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old in a safe, secure and stimulating kids club environment.
  • To provide supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period both in the dining area and during playground activities.
Key Skills and Experiences
  • Sound educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A C) or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests.
  • Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.
