Early Years Educator – Sheffield

We’re supporting a welcoming nursery in Sheffield that’s looking for an Early Years Educator who can bring calm energy, creativity, and a real understanding of early childhood development. If you love nurturing confident, curious little learners, this could be a brilliant match.

About the role

You’ll be working with children aged 2 to 5, supporting their social, emotional, and developmental milestones. No two days look the same, but your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities
  • Supporting children with early language, phonics, and communication
  • Observing progress and contributing to learning diaries and assessments
  • Helping maintain a safe, nurturing, well-structured environment
  • Assisting with personal care routines when required
  • Building trusted, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting daily routines such as group times, outdoor exploration, mealtimes, and transitions
The ideal educator will have
  • Experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • A nurturing, patient approach with warm communication
  • Confidence adapting activities for children at varying developmental stages
  • A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification, or working towards one
  • Good organisational skills and confidence with observations, assessments, and key worker responsibilities
