We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Days in Custody Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Brixton, a category C prison located in the London Borough of Lambeth, in inner‑South London.

Hours

The site currently offers 4 days a week 07:30 till 18:00 (includes weekends).

Salary

This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Develop and lead clinics, undertake examinations and tests, answer emergency bells and potentially be the first person to attend an emergency.
  • Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
