Job Title: Early Careers & Skills Development Coach (Electrical)

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £43,509-46,702 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching, level 3 learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business
  • Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment
  • Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence
  • Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
  • Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support and safeguarding issues
  • Electrical engineering qualification

Desirable:

  • A1/Assessor qualification
  • Teaching Qualification Level 3
  • Military and/or Maritime background

The Early Careers team:

You will join a dynamic team of professionals, assessing a number of apprentices through their programme and supporting a range of early careers activities, including interviewing, inductions, career events etc.
