Overview

Design & Technology Technician - Immediate Start | Location: Secondary School, Lewisham | Start Date: Immediate | Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term | Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience) | DBS: Must be registered on the Update Service

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment, tools, and materials for DT lessons
• Support teaching staff and students during practical sessions and demonstrations
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed in workshops and classrooms
• Carry out routine maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering resources
• Contribute to departmental displays and provide support during school events when required

Requirements

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, flexible, and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with staff and students
• A genuine interest in Design & Technology and a willingness to learn
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
