We are actively seeking an experienced driver with warehouse experience to join our high performance team.

The Driver / Warehouse Assistant will assist with the preparation, maintenance and delivery of audio systems for Solotech's busy Live Productions department.

Your day will look like this:
  • Multi drop van driving duties around the local and surrounding areas.
  • Delivering to our various UK office locations.
  • Store, organise and rotate stock utilizing proper storage methods and procedure.
  • Prepare, pack and load equipment for delivery.
  • Load and unload delivery courier/transport vehicles containing a variety of equipment.
  • To ensure equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
  • Do regular checks on warehouse vehicles for fluid levels, proper tyre pressure and cleanliness, report potential safety issues or service needs.
  • To assist in the preparation and maintenance of audio systems within the warehouse.
  • To assist in general warehouse operation and organisation.
  • To assist with stock management.
  • To report to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment.
  • Be a Solotech ambassador at all times.
  • Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.
Essential Skills / Experience:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good administration skills.
  • Able to interact with people of all professional levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is fast paced, with several jobs loading / unloading simultaneously
  • Ability to use a computers, in particular Microsoft Office packages.
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Fit and able to lift and move equipment as required within given Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Work as an enthusiastic member of the team, developing positive working relationships with other Solotech's colleagues, departments, and external contacts.
Desirable Skills / Experience:
  • Knowledge of pro-audio equipment.
  • Forklift license (Reach or counterbalance)
Level of education:
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
Essential requirements:
  • Right to work and remain in the UK
  • Full, UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points and at least 2 years driving experience
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays from time to time
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours as required in addition to your normal hours of work from time to time
