About the Post

We have a unique opportunity in Fleet Services, based within the busy depot services at Smithies Lane Depot. This role is a professional driver training and compliance officer responsible for delivering a managed program of training, assessment and compliance across a diverse fleet operation while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing driver training, assessment and compliance programmes.
  • Working to strict deadlines and providing accurate and detailed information.
  • Upholding health and safety standards.
  • Informing decisions and setting priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Providing guidance to peers and new recruits to promote the council's values and beliefs.
  • Contributing to management information for strategic oversight.
Qualifications & Experience

Professional driver training and compliance officer with a proven track record in delivering training, assessment and compliance programmes across diverse fleet operations.

Demonstrated ability to work to strict deadlines, provide accurate information, and maintain high safety standards.

Experience in preparing detailed management information.
