Overview

Halo ARC York is the industry leading UK-based accident repair group, with 36 established accident repair centres across the UK and we are still growing. Partnered with IRS (Intelligent Repair Services) based in Germany, who are the largest provider of accident claim services in Europe, this partnership provides Halo with an unrivalled platform and the resource for excellent training, development and employee packages.

We are looking for a Driver/Customer Service Advisor to join our BRAND-NEW Accident Repair Centre in York. This will be our 37th site. The position is a high-profile role within the business and your general job functions include providing an exceptional standard of customer service at all times and supporting the site’s administration. The post holder will also support the drivers to ensure all customer vehicles are collected and delivered in an efficient, timely and professional manner. Start date: 20/10/2025.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Collect and deliver vehicles while adhering to all highway laws, including speed limits and restrictions.
  • Inspect vehicles and assess damage; take clear photos throughout.
  • Complete all administrative tasks related to the role in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a clear, methodical and clean working area at all times.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and report any issues urgently.
  • Liaise with workshop staff to get vehicles through the workshop as efficiently as possible.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the Bodyshop Manager.
  • Provide a positive and enthusiastic approach to your working day.
  • Collect and deliver vehicles observing all highway laws and speed restrictions when needed.
What we are looking for
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Proficient in using computers, PDAs, and smartphones.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction.
  • Experience of logistics (not essential).
  • Keen to support others and be a cooperative team player.
  • Handle all jobs with due care and attention.
  • Able to complete tasks from start to finish within given timeframes, ensuring a high standard of work.
