Job summary

Gully/Drainage Operative Position

Vector is currently seeking Gully/Drainage Operatives to join our client, a fast growing drainage contractor, at their depot near Abingdon in Oxfordshire. This will begin on a temporary basis with a view to permanent employment.

Job Description

In this role, you will work in tandem with an HGV Driver as part of a two-person team. Your primary responsibility will be operating a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains, ensuring they remain unblocked. This job is physically demanding due to the frequent lifting of drain covers.

Requirements

• Previous experience within drainage or highways is desirable but not essential
• Access to personal transportation, as the depot is not easily reachable via public transit.
• Streetworks (desirable)
• CSCS (desirable)
• High Pressure Water Jetting (desirable)
• Safety Critical Medical (desirable)

Pay and Shift

• Monday to Friday - 50 hours per week
• 6.00am - 4.00pm
• £12.94 - £13.50 per hour
