Domestic Gas Engineer Role & Responsibilities
  • Installation, servicing, and maintenance of domestic gas systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in gas heating, boilers, and appliances
  • Plumbing works - if applicable
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Provide excellent customer service by liaising with clients and offering tailored gas solutions
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Assist with the commissioning of new systems and upgrades to existing systems
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and new technologies
  • Mentor and support junior team members when needed
Domestic Gas Engineer Skills & Experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (essential)
  • Domestic Gas Qualifications (essential)
  • Extensive experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining domestic gas systems
  • In-depth knowledge of domestic heating systems, boilers, and associated components
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently
  • Excellent understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills for client interaction and reporting
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Previous experience in a domestic setting is preferred
