Job description

TSA Surveying are currently working in partnership with a prominent building consultancy looking for a Domestic Energy Assessor to cover surveys in Tredegar.

As a Domestic Energy Assessor you will use a tablet to record the condition of various social housing properties by assessing key elements such as kitchen, bathroom, central heating.

Responsibilities

• Identify defects, wear and tear, and potential hazards.
• Applying the HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) to identify health and safety risks at each location
• Conducting Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) assessments to determine energy efficiency ratings
• Assessing the remaining lifespan of key components, such as kitchens and bathrooms etc.

About the role

• Booked appointments (4 to 5 a day)
• EPC only
• Lodgement is not covered by the client
• Outside IR35

Ideal Candidates

• Familiarity with the HHSRS system
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work efficiently using technology (tablets)
• Experience in carrying out EPC
• Accreditation with Elmhurst.
