The Domestic Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitising patient areas, communal spaces, and restrooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Proper disposal of waste, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues.
• Carrying out cleaning duties to required National specification for Cleanliness (NSC) and ensuring documentation is filled appropriately.
• Responding to cleaning incidents/emergency as required by line management.
• Executing standard cleaning tasks on a daily, weekly, and periodic schedule.
• Cleaning all areas/wards/departments effectively in accordance with risk rating and frequencies.
• Cleaning infected rooms/areas per Terminal Clean Policy.
• Changing curtains as per curtain programme or as required for Terminal and deep clean processes.
