Kitchen Domestic

• Location: Knottingley, WF11
• Salary: £12.85 per hour
• Job Type: Temporary Contract

We are seeking two Kitchen Domestics to join our teams at two of our Care Homes. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience in kitchen environments and are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work involves manual handling tasks such as moving stock and unpacking items.
• Responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist the cook in the preparation of meals, including washing, preparing vegetables, making sandwiches, hot drinks, and light snacks.
• Lay tables for mealtimes and provide general assistance during these times.
• Clear tables after meals and wash crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Perform various other duties as assigned by the Manager or Officer on duty.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in a kitchen-based environment.
• Experience in preparing food and assisting in meal preparation.
• Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
• Evidence of entitlement to work in the U.K.
