TWO Domestic Assistants are urgently required for an immediate start to work within the Emergency Department at Antrim Area Hospital. The hours of work will be from midnight to 7.30am and based on a two‑week rota pattern with a pay rate of between £12.21 to £22.34 depending on shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This is a temporary position for an initial period of 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on service requirements. The main duties may include:

  • Cleaning wards, corridors and communal hospital areas.
  • Wiping down and sanitising surfaces, furniture and high‑touch areas.
  • Emptying bins and safely disposing of general and clinical waste.
  • Restocking cleaning materials and reporting any shortages or maintenance issues.
  • Assisting with any additional duties as required.

  • Must be able to complete 1 day of online training (held every Wednesday).
