A service company under NHS in the North East is seeking Domestic Assistants to maintain cleanliness in a busy hospital environment. Applicants should preferably have cleaning experience, though training will be provided. The role involves following cleaning schedules, health and safety compliance, and teamwork. Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) are a wholly owned subsidiary company of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT). SCL provides a range of non-clinical Estates, Facilities and Procurement services to CDDFT.
Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital. The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services.
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 10am until 8pm
Week 2: Wed, Sat, Sun 10am until 8pm
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the hospital environment.
They will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.
They will ensure that communication channels are maintained between appropriate staff, visitors and patient groups with regard to departmental cleaning hygiene.
Post holders will also be expected to be flexible to the needs of the service ensuring that a continuity of service is maintained whilst adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
They will have the ability to work unsupervised, be caring, flexible and reliable and have good levels of personal hygiene.
SCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) set up to deliver a range of non-clinical services. The company is a separate legal body to CDDFT.

Bank work is offered on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours and will be paid on a pro‑rated hourly rate for hours worked only.
