Dog Welfare Supervisor – Fixed Term Contract (Feb 4 2026 – Feb 4 2027)

As a Dog Welfare Supervisor you will be part of a team who cares about making a difference to dogs' lives every day. You will be responsible for ensuring our dogs receive excellent care while motivating, managing, and supporting our Dog Welfare Assistants.

What does this role do?
  • Supervise and support Dog Welfare Assistants to ensure daily exercise, training and enrichment for dogs and keep kennels clean and comfortable until dogs find their forever home.
  • Co‑ordinate the kennel block, help with induction and training, complete monthly supervisions and ensure Dog Welfare Assistants feel supported at work.
  • Continuously drive high standards of dog care and ensure SOPs and processes are followed.
  • Occasionally be site supervisor on a rota basis.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Excellent knowledge of dog welfare and experience working in rehoming.
  • Lead by example; supervising staff while completing day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Positive and pro‑active attitude and ambition to deliver best care for dogs.
  • A full, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be part of the role.
