Job description

Divisional FD | £90k-£110k + bonus | MCR + hybrid | High Growth SME

Axon Moore has partnered with an exciting business in Manchester as they look to appoint a new, ambitious Divisional Finance Director. This business is a complex group that is highly profitable and growing rapidly both through acquisition and organic expansion.

The role will report to a hands-off CFO who expects the candidate to work with a high degree of autonomy in managing the business alongside the rest of the SMT and Managing Director. The role will receive support and ongoing mentorship from a best-in-class CFO, but you will have full responsibility for the financial, operational, and commercial running of the business unit.

The operational and commercial teams are led by a dynamic and ambitious SMT. The Divisional Finance Director will play a key part in this team as they look to integrate and consolidate a number of recent acquisitions, and then standardise ways of working as a group as they reposition themselves for further growth over the next couple of years.

Applicants must be as strong commercially as much as they are technically competent and have mature skillsets in data visualisation and reporting. Due to the emphasis on providing commercial advice to the SMT, in particular around pricing and leasing agreements, we are eager to speak to those who have a background in Corporate Finance and subsequently developed a strong career in commercially oriented leadership roles.

The business unit is in a startup / scale-up phase, so it will suit an individual who has worked in a high-growth start-up environment previously.
