We have an exciting opportunity in Erewash for a substantive Band 7 District Nurse. The successful candidate will join our Long Eaton nursing team, working along side a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse

Erewash covers a varied and vibrant demographic making each day interesting. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced registered nurse with varied experience who wants to develop their leadership and caseload management skills in a supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant would require community nursing experience, some knowledge of caseload management with a high standard of community nursing knowledge and clinical skills.

You will be provided with training and support tailored to your needs to drive forward high quality care and team work; including a thorough induction programme, regular one to ones, peer supervision, working within an MDT and clinical training.

Provide effective evidenced based care to a defined population/Primary Care Network. This is achieved through effective delegation, case load management, monitoring of care standards, leadership and the performance management of team members.

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care, utilising their professional judgement at all times.

Provide clinical leadership and line management to less experienced Nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality care.

To contribute to the continuous improvement of community nursing within their Place, linked to the long term NHS plan.
