Responsibilities

  • Processing incoming orders from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Distributing and processing weekly ordering books.
  • Arranging collections and internal stock transport.
  • Scheduling pickups and preparing shipping documentation for outgoing shipments.
  • Monitoring shipments in transit and addressing delivery issues.
  • Maintaining shipment records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Aiding stores and customers with queries and order status.
  • Informing customers of shortages or delays.
  • Assisting warehouse with dispatch paperwork.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an integral part of our Supply Chain team, a Distribution Coordinator plays a key role in managing the distribution of goods within our company's supply chain.

This role involves ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that customers receive their goods on time and in good condition. They serve as a key point of contact for coordinating logistics activities and providing support to internal and external stakeholders involved in the distribution process.

Salary: £28,700

Full time 40 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processing incoming orders from stores, customers, sales teams, or other departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Distributing, collating, and processing weekly ordering books.
  • Arranging collections and transport for internal movements of stock.
  • Arranging shipments of goods coming into the business and going out to customers or other locations, including selecting carriers, scheduling pickups, and preparing shipping documentation.
  • Monitoring the status of shipments in transit, providing updates to customers or internal stakeholders, and addressing any delivery issues or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Aiding stores and customers regarding pick and order status, transport queries, and product information, and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Informing stores or customers of any shortages, issues, or delays with their orders.
  • Assisting the warehouse with dispatch paperwork and processing as required.
  • Providing a high level of customer service and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • You may be asked to perform other tasks as required by management deemed as a reasonable request.
