We are seeking a Director of Technology, FX Execution Services to join our London team.

Our tech teams are the heartbeat of our business. We seek a talented Engineer with a proven record in driving rapid, impactful business transformation through technological innovation. You will be part of our FX Execution Services Technology Team, playing a key role in developing BNY's next-generation Foreign Exchange Trading Systems. Collaborating with Product Managers, Traders, Sales teams, and technologists, you will help build our FX trading platform covering pricing, execution, algo trading, order routing, and data analytics.

Your impact will include:

  • Leading system design, code quality, and agile development to engineer scalable, performant solutions across the software lifecycle.
  • Leveraging AI to accelerate innovation and promote AI-led development.
  • Collaborating in small, cross-functional agile teams focused on client-centric solutions.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the team, fostering curiosity and a growth mindset.
  • Working with Product Managers to develop and deliver innovative FX products.
  • Mentoring team members to foster professional growth and technical development.

To succeed, you should have:

  • Extensive development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience in building mission-critical systems, preferably in financial institutions.

  • Prior experience with Front Office trading systems, low-latency trading, co-location infrastructure, high-performance messaging systems, and hands-on development with FIX APIs.
