They are now seeking an experienced Director of Communications to lead how their story is told, how their impact is understood, and how they influence change across Lincolnshire.

This is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to shape strategy, inspire audiences, and help embed physical activity into everyday life for people across the county.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Communications will provide strategic leadership for all communications, engagement, and storytelling activity across the organisation.

  • Lead and develop a small, skilled communications team, setting clear priorities and supporting high performance
  • Define and deliver a clear communications strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Strengthen the organisation's voice, brand, and profile
  • Develop compelling narratives and system‑wide campaigns
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and partners
  • Oversee reputation management and crisis communications
  • Set KPIs and monitor performance
ABOUT YOU

You will be a strategic communications leader with senior‑level experience.

  • Proven leadership and people management experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
  • Experience managing agencies and campaigns
  • Strong understanding of brand, advocacy, and reputation
  • Confidence leading crisis communications
  • Experience in the charity, public, health, sport or community sectors is desirable but not essential
