Job description

My client based in Berkshire is looking for a Digital Scrum Master on an initial 3-month contract inside IR35. You will be required to be on-site 1 day a week.

You will work in a busy public sector team, playing a pivotal role in delivering agile project capabilities within the company's digital and ICT services.

The role involves frequent interactions with internal and external project managers, coordinating the effective delivery of projects using Agile methodologies.

You will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop new capabilities for the council.

Core to this role is the ability to take initiative and ensure the smart delivery of the backlog, maintaining optimal velocity. You will also report backlog performance at various organizational levels.

Projects will include software and hardware initiatives. Experience working with business analysts and service designers is important.

It is crucial to work independently, celebrate successes, and communicate effectively using various channels in a truly Agile manner.

You must:

• Be an experienced Scrum Master with a track record of removing impediments and working with challenging stakeholders.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver enhancements and new functionality to online applications.
• Ensure backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives are executed effectively to optimize team performance.
• Ensure milestones and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycles.
• Remove obstacles, develop solutions with team members and stakeholders.
• Build key relationships with Product Owners, providing status updates and supporting communication.
• Document and communicate progress and blockers to management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning and estimation within an agile framework to fulfill backlog requirements.
• Act as Scrum Master for 1-2 teams across multiple projects.
• Embed and coach an agile way of working within the team to achieve goals.
• Take ownership of successful project delivery.
• Hold recognized Agile and Scrum Master certifications.
• Have 2-3 years of experience managing multiple Scrum teams.
• Possess ability to run DevOps processes, preferably using Azure DevOps.
