Job summary

A leading energy management company in Chippenham, UK, seeks a Project Manager with a solid background in managing electrical systems projects. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards. Ideal candidates should have established project management experience, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of MV/LV systems in pharmaceutical and data center environments. This role also requires UK security clearance and a valid driving license.

Qualifications

• Established project management experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems in pharma, data centre and F&B environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer expectations and technical specifications.
• Operate multiple projects in line with QMS and H&S systems.
• Support management in developing solutions for risks and opportunities.
• Attend meetings with customers and stakeholders.
• Financial control of the project including procurement and invoice approval.
• Attend training as required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer expectations, technical specifications and the scope of work required to satisfy the specification.
• Operate and deliver multiple projects (typical total value approx. £3M) in line with QMS, H&S and Environmental systems, identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities.
• Support the management team in developing solutions for risks and opportunities.
• Attend meetings (on-site if required) with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant and suppliers as appropriate.
• Financial control of the project including procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final account agreement and monthly reviews.
• Attend training as required to meet role requirements.

Skills and attributes

• Established project management experience in a similar role.
• Good communication skills, essential for both internal and external contacts. Fluency in English is essential.
• Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems in pharma, data centre and F&B environments.
• A team‑work mentality with self‑motivation, initiative, flexibility and good time management skills prepared to work to strict deadlines.
• Must be able to attain UK security clearance.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Hold a professional project management qualification.
