Job description
Your Day to Day Impact
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the institution’s virtual learning environments (VLEs).
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of digital learning tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with academic teams to design and develop technology-enhanced learning resources.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all digital learning materials.
  • Monitor usage and effectiveness of digital tools and provide reports and insights.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to learning technologies and liaise with IT and MIS teams as required.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and best practices for digital learning.
Is This You?
  • Experience in supporting digital learning environments such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design and technology integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver training sessions and workshops.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
Desirable
  • Experience with multimedia content creation tools.
  • Familiarity with learning analytics and data reporting.
  • Project management experience in educational technology initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in digital learning or technology integration (e.g., CMALT).

The Learning Technologist will be expected to stay current with developments in educational technology and contribute to a culture of innovation. Occasional travel between campuses may be required.

This role may require occasional out-of-hours work to support learning technology events.
