Do you thrive on driving digital innovation and empowering educators to transform learning through technology?

We are seeking a Digital Innovation Lead to join our forward-thinking Digital team, supporting Brighton MET, Haywards Heath, and Crawley Colleges, three distinct and dynamic centres of learning within the Chichester College Group.

In this hands-on role, you will focus on the integration of digital tools and pedagogies across the Group, including XR and emerging AI technologies. You will collaborate with curriculum teams to embed digital skills into teaching practice, deliver high quality professional development, and design engaging digital assets tailored to curriculum needs. A key part of your role will be coordinating and facilitating regular innovation forums with both curriculum and support staff, creating space for collaboration, sharing best practice, and exploring new ideas.

You will be an experienced educator, with both degree level and teaching qualifications (level 3 or above). Ideally you will also have coaching experience. You will bring a deep understanding of digital pedagogy, a creative mindset, and the ability to lead change across diverse teams.

This role offers flexibility in base location at any of the three colleges, with the requirement to travel between the different campuses as needed to ensure consistent support and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of digital tools and pedagogies across the Group, including XR and emerging AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams to embed digital skills into teaching practice.
  • Deliver high-quality professional development and design engaging digital assets aligned to curriculum needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular innovation forums with curriculum and support staff to share best practices and explore new ideas.
  • Support cross-campus collaboration and consistent digital capability across Brighton MET, Haywards Heath and Crawley Colleges.
Qualifications
  • Degree-level education and teaching qualifications (level 3 or above).
  • Ideally, coaching experience.
  • Deep understanding of digital pedagogy, creativity, and the ability to lead change across diverse teams.
Staff Benefits

We have a fantastic range of staff benefits, highly competitive against private sector and other organisations, including:

  • Local Government Pension Scheme – the Group contributes 20.4% of your actual pensionable pay.
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days in line with continuous service, plus bank holidays and college closure days over Christmas (not deducted from annual leave) and a wellbeing day. Opportunity to purchase up to 5 days additional leave.
  • Discount schemes on shopping, restaurants, travel and onsite facilities (gym and First Steps Childcare nurseries at specific campuses).
  • Family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay (dependent on continuous service).
  • Continuous professional development including development days, funded apprenticeships and access to other courses and activities.
  • And much more — see Staff Benefits booklet attached to this advert for details.

Working in a vibrant and inclusive further education college is an inspiring experience. Our staff focus on outstanding teaching, learning and support for a diverse student body, with a positive atmosphere and community engagement.
